Man, I was on the *** of giving this company a glowing review not but a few months ago thanks to their youtube downloader program, but they've gone and messed it up! I've been using their program since June 2024 to download and hold on to youtube videos in my dedicated SSD and it worked rather well.

I had a few gripes that I can't even remember at this point because 2 months ago I got a new PC and forgot to re-download it until today. Then I found out that my previous "unlimited" key no longer works on the 2026 version of the program! I had to downgrade to an outdated 2025 version. While it does work, I have no way of knowing for how long it'll work before something changes with YouTube and breaks it.

Regardless, I think locking different versions behind separate purchases is some really greedy behavior.

Like I remember that going from the 2024 to the 2025 had no such requirement to purchase a new key but going from 2025 to 2026 does?! That's some BS. If you buy a license of this program, you're really taking a chance with the possibility that once the 2027 version inevitably comes out that your "unlimited" license purchase only buys you access to the 2026 version unless you want to shell out another payment of $30. Shame on this company!!!

Also, don't bother with the free version.

Contrary to them insisting they are the #1 free downloaded software suite, this is not a winrar-like program. It absolutely sucks when not paid for. It limits you to one video a day where it massively and artificially lowers the download speed and they even go a step further by putting a massive watermark in the middle of any video you download this way. Perhaps such a horrible demo as this one should have been seen as an early red flag, but it's too late now.

Find a different software for your video downloading needs please. The company behind this one is showing that it's really just after extracting as much money from you as possible.

A couple of the individual apps stopped working properly. I inquired is there were any updates.

Long story short, it took a bit to accomplish it, but I eventually got all the Free Studio apps updated except for the picture conversion app which for some reason is no longer supported. I still have some files that don't work well with the suite but it is manageable issue.

I have used the suite for over a decade & the apps are quite simple to learn & generally work as advertised. The exception to this is the video editor.

It is not very accurate on the cut placements (+- 5-8 seconds) but I have learned to work around that. I would prefer that the cut is exactly where I placed it or no more than than +- 1 second off but so far that is not the case as of yet.

Outside of that caveat, the Free Studio is a great value.

I have been using their programs for several years now; however, lately it seems when there is an update, it seems to cause a glitch and the programs don't work. I have never had an issue contacting support and sending as much information as I can about the issue.

Within a few days, they get back to me and the solution they come up with has always worked to resolve whatever the issue was (the errors I have encountered are always different each time). I highly recommend their programs and am very happy with the service I have received, as well as any instructions they send in their responses.
